PRIVACY POLICY

Your journeys are personal.

This policy explains what information Reisen uses, why it is needed, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: July 27, 2026

The short version

Trips created while you are signed out remain on your device. When you sign in, Reisen uses Supabase to provide account access, syncing, invitations, and shared trips. Information in a shared trip can be viewed by its authorized members.

Reisen does not contain advertising, sell personal information, or use personal information for cross-app tracking. This public website uses no analytics or cookies.

01

Who we are

Reisen is a trip-planning application provided by StratusLens LLC (“StratusLens,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the Reisen iOS app and this support website.

02

Information we handle

Information you provide

  • Account and identity information: name, email address, account identifier, and authentication information.
  • Trip information: trip names, destinations, dates, currency, notes, itinerary items, locations, reservation details, and confirmation codes.
  • Companion and invitation information: member names, email addresses, organizer status, invitation records, and membership identifiers.
  • Expense information: expense titles, amounts, dates, categories, payers, participants, shares, and balances. Reisen does not process payments or store payment-card details.
  • Documents: PDFs or images you choose to upload, together with filenames, document categories, and related metadata.
  • Support communications: the email address, message, and other information you send when contacting support.

Information handled automatically

When you use signed-in features, our service providers may process technical information needed to authenticate you, maintain a secure session, prevent fraud, and operate their services. Depending on the provider and your account settings, this may include user and device identifiers, IP-derived coarse location, and limited usage or diagnostic information.

Local-only use

You may use Reisen without an account for personal, local trip planning. Trips created while signed out are stored on that device and are not transmitted to our cloud service unless they later become associated with signed-in syncing or sharing.

03

How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and secure your account;
  • save, sync, and restore your trips across supported devices;
  • send and process trip invitations;
  • show shared trip content to authorized members;
  • calculate expense balances and settle-up suggestions;
  • store and retrieve travel documents you choose to upload;
  • respond to support, privacy, and account requests;
  • protect Reisen, its users, and our services from abuse or security threats; and
  • comply with applicable law and enforce our rights.

04

Authentication and service providers

We use service providers to operate Reisen. They process information under their own terms and privacy practices:

  • Supabase: account authentication, database syncing, invitations, and storage of uploaded documents. For email/password accounts, Supabase Auth handles credentials; StratusLens does not have access to your plaintext password. See the Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple. Apple may provide an account identifier, name, and email address, including an Apple private relay address when you choose Hide My Email. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google: Google Sign-In. Google may provide account identity information and process technical information needed for authentication, security, and service operation. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Render: hosting for this public support and privacy website. The website does not use analytics, cookies, or a contact form. See the Render Privacy Policy.

05

Sharing and collaborative trips

When you join or create a shared trip, its itinerary, companions, expenses, documents, and other trip content are available to authorized members of that trip. Organizers can invite members using an email address. Only add content that you are permitted to share with those members.

We may also disclose information to service providers described above, when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a business transaction involving StratusLens, subject to appropriate protections.

06

Data retention and account deletion

We retain account and synced trip information while your account is active and as needed to provide Reisen, maintain shared records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect our services.

You can permanently delete your account in Reisen by opening Account, choosing Delete account, reviewing the consequences, and confirming Delete account permanently. This removes your account, profile, pending invitations, and synced account data. Trips you organize are deleted for everyone, including their itinerary, expenses, documents, members, and invitations.

Trips you joined remain available to their organizers and other members. Your traveler record is de-identified as “Former traveler” so shared expense history remains understandable. Local-only trips remain on your device. Limited security or legal records and provider backups may remain for a limited period when required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.

Read the account deletion steps on our Support page.

07

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and account credentials, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

08

Children’s privacy

Reisen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address the request.

09

International processing

StratusLens and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy protections and government access rules may differ from those in your home country. Where required, service providers use legal mechanisms intended to protect international transfers.

10

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also choose to use Reisen without signing in for local-only planning, leave a shared trip, delete content you control, or stop using the service.

To make a privacy request, email support@stratuslens.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to Reisen, our providers, or applicable requirements. We will update the effective date on this page and provide additional notice when required.
